I'm serving a life sentence in the Arkansas Department of Correction for a conviction on a first degree murder charge in 1993. The actual triggerman was released over five years ago after accepting a 30 year plea-agreement in 1994.
Since my conviction, I was procedurally barred from filling any more post conviction relief documents due to the inactment of various laws and acts concerning the rules of post conviction petitions. Therefore, my only avenue for correcting the sentence of life is clemency. However, twice I was voted to be released by the Parole Board and both times I was given a "no action" due to the possible political repercussion. Both times the Board gave me a majority voite of 5-0 and 4-1. One of those votes came with a recommended time cut to 30 years to match the plea-agreement of the self-admitted triggerman.
Since being incarcerated, I've received one (1) rule infraction discipline measure in 1994. I've been a trustee for 14 years, 7 of those years were spent as a 1A trustee. It is only by the grace of God that this was accomplished.
We need your help and support in taking the clemency process out of the hands of the Governor and placing it back in the hands of the Parole Board. Laws and sentencing laws need to be changed in order to match the original intent of the sentencing guidelines. We need your help.
